Mstone 5.13.07....WOW, i did that?

Happy Belated Mother's Day to all Mad Milestone Moms!

Confession: Last night sitting on porch with husband -- the crying of 2 younger Miles' children still ringing in my ear -- i was feeling tad sad, a wee failure of a Mother's Day mother.

Problem: We had really tried to squeeze too much into day. Too many Kodak moments planned and our little digitals ran out of batteries.

Query: Why couldn't i be more positive, strong -- Super Jamie!

Today: Okay, after good night's rest both the 2 wee crying Miles and my minor mother's day moment were distant memory.

Yes -- positive, strong -- Super jamie is back.

Well, it is just a little before 10 a.m. i should be able to stay hale and hearty for at least 2 more hours. Till noon, when i have to pick up sweet Joseph.

Then i thought of Ruth -- the Ruth of Terry's lesson.

Yes, Ruth Bearden we missed you in class and spent entire hour discussing , delving into our subconscious, and discovering how you are perfect mother we all are trying to emulate.

Okay -- maybe that just applied to me.

In class, we actually talked about the Ruth found in the book of Ruth as in the bible.

How looking back at her life (everything) every seemingly insignificant moment built on every other seemingly insignificant moment and --

WOW!

Eureka: she was King David's great-grandmother.

So much of the day-in-day-out of life doesn't seem to matter. In fact, it can be down right discouraging. But we've got to "Ruth-anize" our life.

Look at the big picture...This applies to us all...those who are moms, not moms, dads, not dads.

All this has a purpose!!!

and if God is in control of our lives we can be used in miraculous ways. Most of which (i am sure) we will never know in this short life time.....

Okay -- that last burst of energy was about all Super jamie had in her tank so must wrap up this report with...

Prayer Requests.

Continue to keep primary student Taylor Kinchen in your prayers. She is at Egleston for extended stay for treatment of brain tumors. We all pray for strength for Taylor and her family and complete healing.

Morgan Mason is having CT scan today to make sure everything is all right after very hard blow to her head in a horse incident. We pray all looks encouraging.

Keep Mark Rolling in prayers. He is staying at Emory as he continues to face major struggles with diabetes.

Alleyne Wommack asks for continue prayer as she faces the additional challenge of physical therapy in addition to her chemo. We ask special prayers of healing and recovery for her body.

Keep Mary's nephew in your prayers. That wildandcrazyguy just can't stay on the ground for long. He is due to report to airborne training soon.

Announcements.

Clean-up Service Day. All families are asked to meet at church at 8:30 on Saturday 5/19 to go and have great time help Nita Huff with some yard work.

We all enjoyed meeting Stephanie Dickson's mom, Adel Washington. My only wish is that she could have cooked up something for us -- maybe next time?

VBS -- June 4 thru 8. UP, UP and Away... We need a few more good men and women to help out.

God Bless, Good Week and remember..

Not to look at each irritating grain of sand that life might blow our way under a microscope...

Try to think of looking at your life like you were looking at the Grand Canyon.

Some how when we step back and look at it all again someday --

it's going to make sense.

like -- WOW -- i did that? (with God's help)
